Mission Statement

Driven by our building or seen or blurbs in the paper? Wondering who we are? Read on, friend.

Stapleton Church is a community of spiritual seekers dedicated to following Christ on the path of compassion, wisdom and grace.

We are dedicated to transforming lives by educating, equiping and inspiring people to transcend race, culture, gender and class so that we can faithfully stand together in opposition to the injustices of this world and celebrate the gifts of God. We strive to lovingly minister within our community, and the larger world, to enrich the lives of all of God’s children and creation. Our faith life is open to all regardless of age, race, gender, sexual orientation, marital status, socioeconomic status, and physical, mental, emotional ability or disability.

Let the transformation begin.

Who Are You?

Who are you and what are you doing here? This is not just a rhetorical question. I'm so glad that you are reading my ramblings and I hope that you are making meaningful connections at Stapleton Church.

Have you ever wondered how you can find a home for your soul in the world? Or how you can be you at church? If there was ever a question--your gifts and involvement are not just welcome at SC, they are absolutely crucial to our work in the community!

How do you know what your gifts are? How can they be used at church?

We are embarking on an exploration of these questions and are forming small groups to gather together in discernment of spiritual gifts in the coming months. Leave a comment if you're game. We have located a great resource which includes an inventory to determine what might make your soul happy in service. We'd love to see you in there.

Peace.

  1. Sign me up! I live in the University area; can I host a small group?
